On a Friday in early December 2022, after a few rainy days, we noticed little insects lining the floor by the baseboard and a few on the windowsill of our front bedroom. We proceeded to vacuum them all up but it didn't end there, they kept coming in through the cracks. Our morning was spent vacuuming up these pests. I took a picture of one and it looked like a flying ant or a termite. I went to Angie's list and four termite companies were referenced. I called and left messages with each one. I spoke to three of the four, one confirmed that the insects were indeed subterranean flying termites and explained that these termites come out of the colony to explore new places to branch out into other areas, but they could not come out for an inspection until the following Monday or Tuesday. I prayed, Lord please send us honest people, who have integrity and can get the job done today. My prayers were answered when I got the call from Miguel of Horizon Termite Control. I explained the urgent situation. Miguel came out that afternoon (the termite swarming had subsided a bit by this time), he inspected the property (structural and under the house) and reported that indeed we had quite a few colonies of not only subterranean but wood termites as well. He explained with great great care and detail to the options and what he felt would be the best course of action based on the inspection. He also quoted the prices which I felt were very reasonable for the amount of work involved with yearly inspections for three years. We made the appointment for Monday. Over the weekend, Miguel sent me a detailed report of the findings and the quote agreed upon. Monday morning Miguel and Jesse came out and did the job for us. They took their time and care with every detail to ensure everything was done right. My family and I are so grateful to God for sending these gentlemen to our rescue. So grateful Miguel was willing to take the time to make one more stop in his busy day to check things out for us.
